Upaid makes Senior Vice President appointment

LONDON & PARIS - 15 April 2003 - Upaid, a leading provider of a mobile payment technoloyg and services to mobile operators, banks and merchants, today announced the appointments of Richard Owen as Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Owen has extensive experience in the electronic payments industry. Before joining Upaid, Owen was senior sales manager, EMEA, at Trintech Technologies, where he was responsible for accounts across France, Benelux, Russia, Central Europe and Turkey, as well as the UK. Prior to this, he was sales director, Western Europe, for Globeset Inc, sales and marketing manager, EMEA, for Intracom and UK sales manager, business electronics, for Philips Consumer Electronics.
